Description

"The Predator - 1.

One of Darken Co.'s first firearms and also the first revolver ever made with a "bottom-break, cartridge ejection" system. A relatively simple looking firearm compared to the company's more modern firearms, it gained popularity with self defense and sport shooting, but more importantly, gun collectors. The low ammo capacity of 4 rounds, and the size of the gun, made it unappealing for armed forces; however it passed legal restrictions with ease. The number of units sold remained low due to the lack of commercial interest in the firearm. Despite this however, the Predator handgun became highly collectible due to its infamous stopping power and intimidating look. The popularity of the Predator grew to rival that of the Franchi Spas-12 shotgun in the late 20th century. Even with the Predator being dependent on Darken Co.'s ammunition, it did not seem to hurt the sales of the gun.

The Predator -1 revolver was expected to be the death of the company. An unfamiliar reload system coupled with with the inability to find the correct ammunition from any other manufacturer was thought to be one of the worst ideas a fledgling firearm company could come up with. But the Darken philosophy held true. They believed their superior quality and stylish designs would win over gun collectors and sport shooters alike. The Predator line of revolvers are now some of the most sought after guns in the collector market today." - A History of Darken, Advertising Booklet

Mm mm, The Majestic has a new buddy. Made in Flash CS3.

The gun ejects spent cartridges out through the bottom of the gun just in front of the cylinder. It eliminates the need to use an "ejector" to get all the spent cartridges out of the cylinder before putting in new ones.

Darken Co should have put more curve in that grip. I can see a gun of this calibre having serious buck. Unless it has build in recoil suppression.
